Dr. Brian J.G. Pereira is the President & CEO of Visterra Inc and former President & CEO of AMAG Pharmaceuticals Inc. Prior to this, he had served as President & CEO of the Physician Organization at Tufts Medical Center, Boston and prior to that as interim Chief Operating Officer at Tufts Medical Center. He was the Past President and member of the Board of the National Kidney Foundation. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of NephroPlus Ltd and Opsonix Inc, and a member of the Board of Directors of Visterra Inc, and Africa Healthcare Network Ltd. He is an adjunct Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine, Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences and Tufts Clinical &
Translational Science Institute in Boston.
Dr. Sunita Pereira is a Staff Physician at Tufts Medical Center in the Division of Newborn Medicine and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts University School of Medicine. As a Clinician Educator, she has a special interest in improving care and outcomes for extremely Low Birth Weight Infants. She received her MBBS from Christian Medical College, Vellore, was trained in Pediatrics and Neonatal medicine at PGIMER, Chandigarh and then at The Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She is an art enthusiast and is active in many philanthropic organizations. She was a co-founder and Member of the Board of Directors of Youth That Care Inc, and was a board member of New
England Women’s Initiative, CARE USA and TEIA, Peaks Island. She is a member of the visiting committee for Asian, African and Oceanic art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
