Rupa graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School and received a BA in Economics from Wellesley College. She brings many years of financial, marketing and entrepreneurial skills to the table. She worked on Wall Street for 7 years as an investment banker and for a private investor group where she managed alternative investments for a multi-billion dollar private investment group. In 2010, she made 2 telecommunication apps, which are available on the iPad and iPhone, related to childhood development and food allergies. She is currently the Chairperson for Harvard College recruiting in Richmond, VA and serves as a volunteer on the Lower School Admissions Committee for Collegiate School in Richmond. She is a member of the Canvas Advisory Committee at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and was selected to be on the Leadership Council for the National Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders for Hillary Leadership Council. She contributes her time and efforts to several charities nationwide and is most passionate about helping underserved and underprivileged women and children. Rupa’s oldest son had several food allergies and she spent much of his early childhood testing out recipes and cooking all his food from scratch.
