Rajni Devi is rewriting the status quo in Haryana’s Khetiawas village. Her dream to financially support her family has evolved into a barrier-breaking stride towards gender equality.
Defying traditional norms, Rajni pursued Electrical and Mechanical Repair vocational training. With the help of AIF’s livelihoods program, she pushed beyond the limitations of her local environment and upskilled herself all the way into the green automobile industry.
Now, as a green mechanic responsible for assembling and servicing electric vehicles at Hero Electric, Rajni has become a role model for other women in her village. She’s not only earning a living but also engineering a legacy–one future-ready component at a time!
