The American India Foundation Receives 2026 Best Nonprofits to Work For Award
January 2, 2026, New York, NY: For the third consecutive year, the American India Foundation (AIF) has been selected as one of the Best Nonprofits to Work For by The NonProfit Times–the leading national business publication for nonprofit managers, in partnership with Best Companies Group (BCG). This awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in the nonprofit industry, where leaders have excelled in creating quality workplaces to benefit the industry’s economy, workforce, and businesses.
Awarded annually, the Best Nonprofits to Work For designation recognizes organizations that excel in workplace culture, employee engagement, and mission-driven impact. AIF’s U.S. team plays a pivotal role in advancing high-impact initiatives across education, livelihoods, and public health in India, driving sustainable change through dedication and collaboration. This recognition underscores AIF’s commitment not only to the communities it serves, but also to fostering a supportive, values-driven workplace.
Hundreds of nonprofits from across the U.S. participated in a two-part evaluation process to determine this year’s Best Nonprofits to Work For. The first component assessed each nominated organization’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second, and more heavily weighted component, captured direct employee feedback through a comprehensive survey measuring workplace experience and engagement. BCG administered the program, managed the survey process, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings based on combined results.
With 100% employee participation in the evaluation, AIF has once again earned its place among leading nonprofit workplaces and looks ahead to the spring awards ceremony, where the full list of recognized organizations will be formally announced.
