AIF Leadership Team meets with Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi

I am delighted to mention that we met with the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji on 17th of January 2015, at his residence IN New Delhi India. The AIF team was led by our Chairperson Lata Krishnan and consisted of Pradeep Kashyap, Anjali Sharma, Nishant Pandey (India Country Director) and me.

We highlighted how AIF came into being after the tragic Bhuj earthquake of 1/26/2001, thanks to the initiative of President Clinton at the suggestion of Honorable Prime Minister Vajpayee, and provided a full update on all the six signature programs that AIF is currently running. He congratulated AIF and the Indian diaspora on the impactful work we have been doing these past 14 years. Additionally he had four very specific suggestions which would hugely benefit the community we are serving.

Nishant and I, along with our program heads are already working on the suggestions of the Honorable PM and will keep you updated.
