Highlights: Anvitha graduated from Hunter College in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She is passionate about how laws and policies shape healthcare systems and impact the health of populations. This has reflected in the various research projects and internships she has done in college. During her time in college, Anvitha's public policy capstone researched the correlation medical debt and health insurance has in the US and proposed policy solutions to that extent. While in college, she interned at New York Legal Assistance Group in the Legal Health division, where she supported low-income clients with legal and health issues. She also interned with the Social Science Research Council, which is dedicated to combatting health misinformation, in the Mercury Project team. This taught her how interventions are evaluated to increase evidence-based preventive health behaviors. At Rheingold Giuffra Ruffo & Plotkin LLP Anvitha assisted litigation and advocacy for clients in medical mass tort claims. Anvitha looks forward to establishing the Center for Disability Research & Innovation (CDRI) at the organization, Satya Special School, as a pioneering initiative focused on evidence-based research, policy advocacy, and capacity building in disability studies. She hopes to broaden her interdisciplinary research skills that integrate public health, policy, and legal frameworks.
