Highlights: Nupur is a recent graduate from Lady Shriram College for Women, Delhi University, with a BA Hons in Philosophy and a minor in Journalism. Her academic journey in philosophy allowed her to delve into questions of ethics, identity, and the human experience, while her journalism coursework honed her ability to critically engage with contemporary issues. During her time at college, Nupur headed the Research and Development team of her department, gaining experience in non-academic research. Her passion for social impact extended to her work as a director and actor in the LSR Dramatics Society. She directed and performed in productions like The Caged Sparrow and Iti, both of which explored gender stereotypes and the visibility of women’s narratives in society. These experiences were transformative, leading her to write a paper titled "Art for Art's Sake or Art for Necessity: Revisiting Tamasha through a Gendered Lens," where she examined themes such as intersectionality and the role of art as a means of livelihood for women. Her curiosity and commitment to development led her to intern with Eight Goals One Foundation, where she contributed to projects focused on AI in education, curriculum enhancement, and gender-based research. Her work spanned areas such as strategy design and the Annual Review of the State of Sexual Harassment in India. With a strong interest in social impact, Nupur is thrilled to be a Fellow and believes that this opportunity is the ideal start to her journey in the development sector.
