Highlights: Shriyam grew up in Dehri-on-Sone, a small town in Bihar and completed his schooling from Dehradun. It was while pursuing his degree in History at University of Delhi that he got an op- portunity to intern with South Asian Human Rights Documentation Centre. It was here that he had a chance to interview Chin and Somali refugees. The experience built up his interest in pursuing research in policy, human rights and governance. To further pursue this, he assisted Members of Parliament with research inputs as a Rajiv Gandhi Research Assistant to Legislator. His work covered areas relating to environment, communalism, rural development and other social issues.
