Welcome
The Texas Chapter has been based out of Dallas since 2003. It has hosted various events including the annual Dallas Fall Benefit and fundraising galas to raise awareness and resources for poverty alleviation in India through AIF’s programs in education, health and livelihoods.
The 2019 Dallas Fall Benefit was organized by committees Dallas Chapter leaders and it raised over $97,600 to improve the lives of underprivileged children, women and families across India. These funds allowed for 195 community health workers to be trained and for health services to be offered to 8100 mothers and babies living in impoverished, remote communities through AIF’s Maternal and Newborn Survival Initiative (MANSI).
In addition, the Dallas chapter also established a collaborative education program with AIF’s Digital Equalizer (DE) program between the Greenhill School in Dallas and the Akshay Pratishtan School in Delhi, which benefits disabled students.
