I’d like to share a video that I made for the AIF Leadership dinner on the 28th January, 2016, featuring my co-fellows aka Dilli Billis. This fellowship would have been so dull without the Dilli Billis! Lilianna, Owen, Kiara, Cheryl, Amy, Benson, and Aparna; I just want to say, thank you!
An English Literature graduate, Falak Choksi, is a passionate film maker with deep interest in Gender issues. She has one documentary and three fictional short films under her belt. Her concern for gender issues is reflected in her short film, Pehchaan, that has been to several Film Festivals. She is an honorary co-founding member of an Ahmedabad based NGO named Sauhard. While volunteering there she had the opportunity to work with on Youth Development and Peace Promotion for three years. As a core member of Sauhard, she has organised and performed street plays with other volunteers as a creative medium to reach out to youth and discuss social issues with them. During her final year, she worked with Al Jazeera English International during the Loksabha Elections, 2014, as a fixer. She has recently interned with Mumbai based Film Production House where she worked as the creative content assistant and now she wants to use her film making and communication skills to serve for a social cause. She hails from Surat and loves to travel and explore new places.
