Donate Crypto
Be the change that impacts millions of lives in India.
Every contribution from you helps disadvantaged children stay in school and realize their dreams, empowers the disabled to lead a life of dignity, provides sustainable employment opportunities to the poor, and saves the lives of newborn children and their mothers.
Why Donate Crypto
Crypto donations are one of the most tax-efficient ways to give to charity. Your crypto donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law if you pay taxes in the U.S. By making a charitable gift, you may also be eligible to significantly reduce what you would otherwise owe in capital gains taxes.
This is because donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. This makes Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrency donations one of the most tax-efficient ways to support AIF.

Education
Through our LAMP—Learning And Migration Program—and DE—Digital Equalizer—programs, we aim to provide a consistent and challenging education system to migrant children and bridge the educational and digital divide by ensuring that both teachers and students are equipped with practical digital literacy skills to enhance their in-classroom and out-of-school learning.
Learn MoreLivelihoods
AIF’s livelihood programs provide rural youth, marginalized labor in urban centers, and the disabled, earning opportunities by empowering them through work skills training, finance, and operational support for micro and nano entrepreneurs. The programs also provide platforms for job seekers to connect with corporates, as well as mentorship to help sustain livelihoods in the future.
Learn MorePublic Health
AIF’s MANSI—Maternal and Newborn Survival Initiative—ensures new mothers and infants have the care they need to prepare for, survive, and thrive during and after pregnancy by providing preventative and curative care from individual households to government health facilities.

- Can cryptocurrency be donated to charity?
Yes, and for US taxpayers, cryptocurrency donations, as per the IRS, are classed as property. This means that when you donate crypto, you receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the crypto at the time of the donation. Additionally, you avoid the capital gains tax you would have incurred if you had sold the crypto and then made a donation. This means you can donate more to the charity and deduct more from your taxes.

- Is my cryptocurrency charitable donation tax deductible?
Yes, your cryptocurrency donation is tax deductible.
Supporters who want to donate cryptocurrency are supporting our work in a tax-efficient way. The IRS currently classifies cryptocurrency donations as property, meaning they are not subject to capital gains tax and are tax-deductible on your return. Remember, your contribution is tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. For example, for donors in the United States, the IRS has classified bitcoin as property for tax purposes. This means that when you donate bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit like AIF, you do not have to pay capital gains tax and your gift is tax-deductible.- Can I donate crypto and remain anonymous?
Yes! You can make crypto donations anonymously. Simply check the box within the donation widget. You also have the option to receive a donation receipt, via The Giving Block directly, meaning that you can still claim your crypto donation on your return while having retained your anonymity with AIF.
- Can I get a refund on my Crypto donation?
All cryptocurrency donations are nonrefundable. We are not able to give refunds if you changed your mind, sent the wrong cryptocurrency, or made the wrong decision.
Since your crypto donations are often immediately converted into fiat--and are understood to have been made to support our programs--please know that we do not offer refunds on any donations made in cryptocurrency.
AIF does not, has not, and will never offer any form of cryptocurrency airdrop, goods, or services in return for a donation.
