We have partnered with AIF on its Clinton Fellowship program to:
a. Further strengthen our interventions on health, especially interventions to address the issue of maternal and infant mortality;
b. Enhance and update our learning on different interventions in maternal and child health as well as other areas;
c. Strengthen our network with development actors to expand our learning opportunities.
We are hosting a Fellow to have a candid look into our program processes and outcomes. At the same time this will provide a learning opportunity to the fellow. Thus, it is the mutual learning opportunity, which will have positive implications for our programs, that has encouraged us to partner with AIF and host Fellows.
Through this exchange of learning, we believe that our Fellow will provide a neutral view to our programs, which will be enriched by his insight and recommendations; data analysis; case studies and success stories; and contributions to redesigning our organizational planning. The Fellow also provides us with an another channel of communication to the outer world.
We’ve hosted a Fellow during the launch period of our joint initiative with AIF, the Maternal and Newborn Survival Initiative. Due to the timing of the project just getting off the ground, major interventions planned were not carried out at all. Now that we have crossed halfway of our project, this is an important juncture when we are pleased to host a Fellow to have an in-depth look into our program.
