The 2024–25 cohort of Banyan Impact Fellows has left behind a truly inspiring mark on India’s development journey. Each of them stepped into their host organizations with energy, empathy, and fresh ideas, carrying the belief that real change happens when service and learning go hand in hand. Whether it was in Telangana, Hyderabad, Bhavnagar, Delhi, Ahmedabad, or Mysore, their presence brought both hope and determination to the communities they worked with.
What stood out this year was how creative yet grounded their approaches were. Many Fellows even came together to put their experiences into a publication—Entry Professional’s Guide to the Development Sector. It not only carried reflections but also shared practical tools and methods—like systems thinking, training design, public health research, and building partnerships—that will guide future changemakers. In this way, their year of work will continue to inspire and support others long after the Fellowship.
The sense of unity among the Fellows was remarkable. They all came from different places and brought different perspectives, yet they shared a common goal: to make a meaningful difference. Over the course of ten months, this shared purpose grew stronger and created bonds that went beyond regions and organizations.
As the Fellowship comes to a close, it feels important to pause and thank each of them. They have given their time, energy, ideas, and hearts to the work, and in doing so, they have enriched the development sector in countless ways. Their willingness to question, to listen, and to create new pathways is a gift to the communities they served and to all of us who believe in a more inclusive and sustainable future.
