Phalguni Joshi, a social entrepreneur from the quaint and heritage town of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, has been working in the field of rural development since 2018 when she was a fellow with SBI YFI. She has a background in computers and law, and cyber forensics. During the fellowship, she conceptualised and put into action her business, Karmaar Crafts, which locally sources raw materials and employs tribal women to make artistic bamboo products. Phalguni is dedicated and committed and wants to bring about a change by working in rural development. Phalguni believes that the real treasure potential can be found in the remotest villages of India, and endeavours to create and provide opportunities to the people who can't avail equal access to them.
