Sushilaben, a mother of four and formerly a migrant worker always on the move, has reinvented herself as a champion of education. With the help of our Learning and Migration Program (LAMP), she’s put down roots in her community and embraced local farm work to ensure her daughters remain in school–and can dream of a brighter future.
Trained by our LAMP team, she has become a member of the School Management Committee, where she’s now shaping the educational paths of not only her own children but also those of her entire community.
While LAMP may have illuminated her journey, it is Sushilaben’s tenacity that’s truly elevating it!
