Dr. Mahesh Srinivas
Dr. Srinivas is a medical doctor and public health management specialist with more than 19 years of experience. He has worked on a range of public health programs including reproductive and sexual health, child and adolescent health and nutrition, HIV & AIDS, tuberculosis, comprehensive eye care, and water and sanitation.
Mahesh believes in improving management practices of public health programs for achieving better outcomes. He has experience engaging with various stakeholders – governments, funding partners, community and non-profit organizations, that are involved in managing large-scale public health programs. Some of significant initiatives Mahesh has been associated with includes the Hepatitis-B immunization initiative, increasing access to household sanitation & point of use water purification, emergency relief & rehabilitation, integrated programming for the visually challenged, scaling-up of zinc and ORS for childhood diarrhea management, quality improvement of maternal care and expanding contraceptive choices for women.
Mahesh has his MBBS from the Government Medical College in Mysore, India and an MHA from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He speaks English and Hindi, and other Indian languages.
When not working, Mahesh likes to travel, read and dream.
