Jacob Ittycheria is the Development Director – West Coast for American India Foundation (AIF).  A critical member of the AIF leadership team, the Development Director – West Coast position represents the organization throughout the western region with particular emphasis on the Bay Area, Orange County, Los Angeles, and Seattle.   As the leader of AIF’s West Coast operations, this role oversees a staff of two, a Major Gifts Officer and a Senior Manager-Outreach Events and is responsible for expanding the current $6 million a year portfolio by increasing income from individuals (major gifts program), institutions (foundations, corporations, corporation-owned foundation) and events. This role represents AIF in the media, on panels, with donors, and other audience/stakeholders as needed.

Jacob comes to AIF with over 9 years of leadership experience in nonprofit fundraising.  Jacob’s passion for raising money started on a bicycle riding from San Franciso to Los Angeles during the 2014 AIDS/LifeCycle event.  The epic bike ride catapulted Jacob’s career from working in operations, sales and HR to the nonprofit sector.  Since becoming a Development Manager at AIDS/LifeCycle, Jacob then  moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco to work for San Francisco AIDS Foundation as an Associate Director then transitioned to a Development Director at Openhouse before coming to AIF.

Jacob has a true passion for storytelling and loves sharing how lives are forever transformed due to the generosity of others.  One of Jacob’s greatest strengths is his excitement in connecting people to the valuable work of an organization and how crucial of a role we all play in making this world a better place.
