Manoj Balachandran

Manoj Balachandran is the Regional Director at American India Foundation Trust. He comes with over 26 years of overall work experience out of which 23 years in the IT industry and 3 years in the automobile sector. Before moving into the social development sector, Manoj was the Head of CSR for IBM India and South Asia where he led all the CSR programs and initiatives across IBM India and South Asia including the award-winning STEM for Girls Program and the ‘AI for CBSE’ engagements which has won many laurels from the industry.

He has come to AIFT from Inhana Organic Research Foundation where Manoj was leading as Vice President for Sustainability. At Inhana, they create impactful agriculture projects using CSR funds from corporates. In his previous roles, Manoj played Technology Leadership roles in the Cloud Migration and in Account Management within IBM. He also had a 14-year stint in AT&T where he was the Senior Director of their India Operations and was the Center Head for AT&T’s Bangalore center.

Manoj Balachandran completed his B.E in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai, further to which he did his MBA in International Business from the Symbiosis Institute of International Business.

He is a fitness freak and a total outdoor person during his free time. His other hobbies include classical dance (Bharatnatyam), music, biking, swimming, badminton, and learning magic.
