Squadron Leader Pritam Sarkar(Retd) is the Director-Technology of the American India Foundation, providing technology strategy to its operations globally. He is a military veteran with versatile experience across the length and breath of the country. Pritam is a military leader by training, a technology strategy maker by experience and technopreneur by heart.

He started his career as an IT Engineer in corporate and later joined Indian Air Force in technology domain. He worked on several high value technology projects implemented across the country in IAF. During his various appointments and tenure, he had been in a versatile leadership role. Subsequently, he moved to the corporate world and worked with Amazon in ATS Linehaul in Europe.

Pritam firmly believes in the team leadership. In his career spanning 15 years, he has undertaken several multi-stakeholder operations involving civil society, governments and corporate partners. Pritam also helped several startups on technology resource planning and business strategy for new initiatives.

Pritam holds a B-Tech in Electronics, a MBA in Information System Management. He also holds a management degree from IIM Luckhnow. He had acquired several certifications on IT security, Project Management and Leadership.

When not at work Pritam loves to do photography and swimming.
