Ramesh Savalia is the State Program Manager (SPM), LAMP, AIF’s office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He holds a Post Graduate in Development Management from S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai; PGC in Environmental Education from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow and Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Gujarat Agricultural University, Navsari. He has 26 years of work experience in corporate as well as the development sector. Prior to Joining AIF, he has worked four years with Arvind Foundation, a CSR arm of Arvind Limited and 24 years with Centre for Environment Education (CEE), Ahmedabad established by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, GOI. He has worked in the area of Rural Transformation, Environment Education and Education for Sustainable Development from grassroots level implementation to international programs management. He extensively worked with diverse partnership programs including CBOs, NGOs, Central and State Departments, the Line Department, UN agency, International Development Agency, Corporate, CSR Foundation, and International and Bilateral organizations, Academic and Research Institutes.
