Vinay Iyer

Vinay is a Humanitarian and development professional with over 14 year of experience. Specialized in operations and delivery of time bound development, humanitarian and Disaster Risk Reduction programs with various national and international organizations. He successfully implemented one of the largest ‘Resilience building’ projects in India by integrating DRR, Child Sensitive Social Protection and technology. The project covered 300 rural and 50 urban locations with varied hazard profiles across 5 states. Also worked with Registered Engineers for Disaster Relief (RedR India) as Humanitarian Services Manager providing backstopping to several national and international NGOs responding to humanitarian crises and DRR work. He has been deployed to several emergencies and some of the most recent deployments have been to Sri Lanka floods (2018), Nepal Earthquake (2015) South India Floods (2015), Jammu & Kashmir floods (2014), Uttarakhand flash floods (2013) and Western India Drought (2013).
