My goal is to help 1,000 girls get an education for 2 years under AIF’s LAMP program!

Hi! My name is Sanya Nadeem and I am 13 years old. I care deeply about gender equality, climate change, and helping the underprivileged girls in India.

During the COVID-19 crisis, just like other countries, India has been suffering. I’ve felt terrible for those who have had to endure so much hardship. Also, in India, girls and women have been suppressed due to gender discrimination. Opportunities for girls were limited to begin with and have deteriorated due to COVID-19.

I have set a goal of helping 1,000 girls get an education for 2 years in the state of Uttar Pradesh (both my maternal and paternal grandparents are from UP, so it’s close to my heart and the need is very high there too). The cost of education is $25 per girl per year. In the summers of 2020 & 2021, I taught online classes to the kids in my neighborhood and raised $3,700 for this cause.  Additionally, with the help of some philanthropists, I have been able to raise $6,900. So far, I have raised a total of $10,600. I need your help to reach my goal of $50,000. Please join me in empowering these girls and helping them secure a better future!
