Support Typhoon Haiyan Relief Efforts in the Philippines

The American India Foundation would like to offer our deepest sympathies to those suffering the devastating effects of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda in the Philippines). Haiyan was the second category 5 Typhoon to strike the Philippines this year, destroying homes, shattering infrastructure, and claiming lives. The death toll stands at several thousands, with survivors in desperate conditions, lacking food, clean water, and shelter.

Born out of disaster relief, the American India Foundation has assisted in some of the subcontinent’s most tragic natural disasters. We recommend the following organizations operating on the frontlines as vehicles to deliver emergency and humanitarian aid to victims of this tragedy.

Ayala Foundation
Provide Emergency Relief For the population affected in this devastating storm through the Ayala Foundation and other qualified local NGOs. Ayala Foundation is a diaspora organization raising funds for the disaster and has connections to local organizations on the ground. Find out more here.

Doctors without Borders
The international medical humanitarian organization is sending 200 tons of medical and relief items, including vaccines, tents, and hygiene kits. Find out more here.

Philippines Red Cross
